The island is home to a historic villa that once belonged to Florence Trevelyan, a Scottish noblewoman. Although the villa is not open to the public, the surrounding gardens are a botanical wonder, with exotic plants and breathtaking views. The small beach connecting the Island with the main land will get very crowded with visitors during the High Season.
The small coastal town Mazzaro where Isola Bella is located is a beautiful typical Italian town. You will find many restaurants with beautiful views of the Ocean. Expext high prices for food and accomodation as that place is very popular.
